Razer today announced the Viper V2 Pro, a lightweight, wireless competitive gaming mouse designed with feedback from esports professionals. More than 20% lighter than the Viper Ultimate, the Viper V2 Pro comes with next-gen switches, better battery life and the all-new Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor.
“I think this mouse was made for me,” commented Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen, professional VALORANT player for OpTic Gaming. “The shape and weight are perfect in my hand, it feels like a natural extension of my body. It is unlike anything else.”
While using a prototype of the new Viper, Marved recently broke the record for most kills with 35 kills during the 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) and was named MVP of the Grand Final. OpTic Gaming took the 1st place in the tournament, making the next generation of Viper a part of VALORANT history even before the product was released.
Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor
Razer’s new Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor is also introduced as part of the Viper V2 Pro and promises 99.8% full resolution accuracy. The new sensor is equipped with AI functions such as Intelligent Tracking, Motion Sync and Asymmetric Cutting.
The mouse also comes with new switches called “Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3”. These keys promise a lifetime of up to 90 million clicks, which is a 25% increase in value over the lifetime of the previous generation key.
Viper V2 Pro can now be charged with Type-C. There is a DPI control button at the bottom of the mouse and adjustments can be made without having to fiddle with the software. Additional grip bands pre-cut to the shape of the Viper V2 Pro, Razer Speedflex charging cable and 2.4 GHz HyperSpeed USB dongle extender come with Viper V2 Pro and gamers can configure it however they want.
Razer Viper V2 Pro price
Razer’s new mouse will be priced at €159.99 in Europe and $149.99 in the US.
