EK, a company specializing in high-end cooling solutions, has recently launched a brand new water block with an unusual 4 in 1 configuration which also integrates pump and tank. The new product is designed for 12th Generation Intel Core Alder Lake CPU and is therefore compatible with motherboards equipped with LGA 1700 socket. Combines the new cooling engine EK-Quantum Velocity²specifically designed for the Intel socket, with a PWM DDC pump 4.2 in a very compact packaging.
The integrated PWM DDC 4.2 pump is original and is cooled by the metal part of the water block. The small sizemade possible by this type of configuration, This makes it ideal for ITX homeswhere the space available for liquid cooling systems is notoriously small. There is also a tank inside the water block which can be refilled (and refilled when needed) easily.

The waterblock it can be mounted both vertically and horizontallythrough the G1 / 4 ″ connections, and also includes double exits and entrances. The plate is made of 99.99% pure electrolytic copper and coated with nickel. The surface is precision machined to ensure maximum contact with the processor IHS and optimize heat transfer. The EK-Quantum Velocity² mounting system, currently patent pending from the company, includes only three pieces, namely the back plate, the screws and the water block. The plate is fixed in the posterior part, so as to eliminate the screws in the front for greater practicality and aesthetic cleanliness. The water block is then secured to the plate by means of pre-tensioned springs, which allow to obtain the right mounting pressure.
The liquid cooling system of EK is finally compatible with all solutions for RGB synchronization and has 14 addressable LEDs positioned in the transparent central section, made of acrylic. EK-Quantum Velocity² DDC 4.2 PWM D-RGB is manufactured in Slovenia and is already available for pre-order in Europe via the official website, at the suggested price of € 329.90; Unfortunately, there is currently only one version compatible with Intel LGA1700 socketbut we hope that a variant compatible with the new AMD AM5 socket will also debut in the coming weeks.
